Louise Jane School of Dance is based in Thame, Oxfordshire. Students can start from the age of 3. We offer classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Commercial and Acrobatic Arts. Students have the opportunity to take ISTD exams and participate in local competitions and shows.

We welcome both new and experienced students and we treat every child as an individual. We provide warm, friendly and fun classes to help your child grow in confidence and reach their maximum potential.

All our teachers are fully qualified and DBS checked.  We also attend regular First Aid and Health and Safety training days to ensure that we are providing you with the best service.

Louise Flitney (AISTD, DDI, AAC1)DAK 138

Louise started dancing at the age of 5 and has trained in many styles of dance. At the age of 16, Louise went on to study a BTEC National Diploma in Dance and received triple distinction. Louise then went on to achieve her ISTD Associate qualification with the Disco Freestyle faculty.

Louise decided she wanted to further pursue her dance career and went on to study at Margaret Howard Theatre College. Louise achieved her teaching qualifications and is fully qualified with the ISTD to teach Imperial Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre Dance, Tap, Disco Freestyle and Acrobatic Arts. Louise thoroughly enjoyed her training and developing her knowledge of dance. Louise is always keen to expand her teaching techniques to give her students the best training possible.

Louise has been teaching dance to children aged 3-18 since 2008. Louise also teaches students on a one to one basis. Louise really enjoys working with such passionate and determined students and watching them grow and develop over the years.

Louise has always had a passion for dance and hopes to pass on her love and enthusiasm to all of her students.

Holly Shiels (AISTD)

Holly has recently graduated from Momentum Performing Arts Academy with a 3 year Diploma in Musical Theatre. Whilst studying, Holly took on several different roles within shows such as, Chicago, Cabaret, Grand Hotel and Seussical. She began dancing from the young age of 3 across many genres such as, Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary and Commercial.

Holly also did the ISTD Teacher Training course, completing her qualifications in ISTD Tap, Modern and Commercial Street Dance Associate. During her time at college she also attended lots of different West End workshops for shows such as; Mamma Mia, Cats, Chorus Line, Top Hat and lots more, bringing different ideas and inspiration towards her choreography.

Teaching has always been a passion for Holly and she loves to see children enjoying themselves whilst dancing and also growing as a performer. Holly is really looking forward to becoming part of Louise Jane School Of Dance.
